When I was a little girl, my mom always made being under the weather kind of a holiday. Camped out in the living room with my favorite sick food (stewed potatoes) and movies or books. Of course I had to be hydrated, so lots of my favorite soda. I was sick a lot!
Now I have children. I wanted to give the same memories. Not memories of being “sick” but memories of being treasured. Our family has a rule. If you have a fever or other “ailment” all around pampering is in order. You get the sofa, more television than is good for you, and treats. It does not take long before they are up and running again carrying with them the love I poured into them.
Check out what others do to Further God’s Kingdom through their families.
Enjoy your children,
